Dear Woman’s Club of Pewaukee Members,
Spring is in the air at last! Please join us at our Luncheon on Thursday, May 2, at the Sand Bar on Hwy SS in Pewaukee. Our lunch hostess is Barbara Armagost and our guest speaker is Dr. Lynn Dolan of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare to educate us on women’s health. Please arrive between 11:15 and 11:45 a.m. Our Annual Meeting will begin promptly at 11:45 a.m. with our Collect and Pledge of Allegience. Reports about each of our Committees will be kept to 2 minutes each. Then we will discuss the Board’s recommendation on how to disperse our hard earned funds to nonprofits in our community. Remember, if you cannot attend the Membership Meeting, be sure to call Ella at 691-4211 to let her know so you are not charged $15.00 for lunch. RSVP’s are due by Monday!
We are seeking new potential locations to hold our monthly meetings. Do you have a church fellowship area or any other large meeting space we could use next year? Please contact any of the Board members with your suggestions for potential meeting spaces. We prefer locations that do not charge a fee.
Please remember the Pewaukee Food Pantry! This month the Food Pantry is in need of jelly and cereal. Thank you in advance for remembering those in need. Bring your items to our meeting and your name will be put in a basket to win a mystery prize in the black box!
High Tea a Success!
Our fundraiser on April 18 was a success as over 60 women gathered to enjoy tea, conversation and a wonderful presentation by Jessica Michna who portrayed Eleanor Roosevelt. Our raffle brought in over $600 alone! Special thanks to our committee members who helped plan the event: Nancy Ackley, Roz Carroll, Ella Dzioba, Sherry Foyer, Abby Lorenz, and Nancy Niedziela. Thank you also to those who lent their personal china, linens, and made a donation to our beautiful raffle baskets. We thank you for all for a lovely afternoon of High Tea!
